Claws and Jaws

This snapping turtle (that seems to have just crawled up out of the mud) was walking along the causeway this afternoon.  Having such long claws and powerful jaws, one must be quite respectful when photographing it (as with ANY creature!)  The bright sunlight was upon it, giving it sort of a bronzed look.  I was able to spend time shooting it from several angles ~ it certainly wasn't threatened by the looks of me in comparison!
