Of course this post can go on and on with thousands of images of beautiful blossoms, but I hope this small offering brought some simple joy to your day!

  1. Aunt Laura, these photos are amazing! The kids loved looking at all "beeee-u-tee-ful" flowers. Do you happen to know what each of them are? Spence picked out the columbine right away - around here, we actually eat the little dark pink nubs at the top. The rest of the plant is mildly poisonous, but the tips are sweet.

  2. Thanks, Linda! Gosh, I really don't know the names of most of them! I'm sure their are folks who follow my blog that can name them easily. There are Bleeding Hearts (both white and pink) and Psyllium, May Apple blossoms, Vinca, Buttercups, Cherry blossoms, Pansies, Wisteria, Dandelion, and I don't know the rest. I love the little white 'bells'--they're my favorite. I didn't know you could eat any part of the Columbine flower! Thanks for sharing that information! I actually have some pretty nice photos of pink and purple columbine that I'll have to post just for you guys!
