12 of 2012 ...and... "Chopped!"

A delightful challenge for me is to look back on the past year and choose some of my favorite images I've shot throughout those twelve months.  What makes it a personal challenge, I find, is how my 'favorites' depend on my current mood when reviewing them, and the feelings the photos initially evoked at the time, besides the actual quality of a good photo.

I began with a list of about 70 photos and whittled away until I was down to around 30.  From that, I chose my 12. 

Or have I?

Is it cheating to put the "runner's up" in a "Chopped!" file and share them too??
I have to.  I must. 

So I'm combining the two in one single post.

Rather than ordering the images in each group by 'favorite', I'm keeping them in a chronological sequence, just to naturally walk through the seasons again in m own mind, and hope you'll join me along the way!
