I spent time along the river Saturday morning. The crack of dawn was announced by the birds whom I came to see, but one in particular caught my attention. I noticed a Great Blue Heron sitting up in a tree. It's mate then flew overhead, guilded by the sunlight. I watched where that one landed and took a series of pictures as I followed it, which I share today.
I love watching the great blues. The look prehistoric to me. These pictures are real "up close and personal". Thanks!
